
The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation (ALF) offers grants to civil society organisations to support initiatives for intercultural dialogue. The annual call is focused on thematic issues in line with each year’s priorities.
The Anna Lindh Foundation functions as a network of 42 national networks.
The aim of the Foundation’s Call for proposals is to support projects in the fields of Education for Intercultural Citizenship and Intercultural Artistic Co-Productions.
Overall Objective:
- The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) will award only multilateral projects built upon a 1+1 partnership formula with at least one partner from a Southern Mediterranean country and at least one partner from a European country.
Main target groups:
- civil society actors at large,
- NGOs,
- CSOs,
- government institutions/authorities,
- religious representatives,
- local media,
- civil society/community leaders,
- opinion makers and local public figures
- youth
- women
The overall amount allocated to this call is EUR 1,000,000.
1 project is expected to be selected in each National Network/country;
Indicative allocation of funds by lot:
Lot 1: Education for Intercultural Citizenship EUR 500,000
Lot 2: Intercultural Artistic Co-Productions EUR 500,000
Size of the grants:
The size of the awarded grants range from minimum EUR 25,000 and maximum EUR 35,000.
The number of projects expected to be awarded through will be between 30-40 projects.
The ALF financial support will not exceed 80% of the total eligible costs of the project and will not be less than 25% of the total eligible cost.
Duration of the project:
must be between a minimum of 6 consecutive months and a maximum of 12 consecutive months.
Eligible applicants:
- should be non-profit making, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), educational, cultural, academic or research institutions, non profit media, foundations or local authorities
- should be a member of one of the 42 Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Countries prior to the 20th of January 2015 (Albania, Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom.)
