The Changemakers for the Democracy programme is a 12-month fellowship providing support and amplifying the work and voices of 15 Europe-based young changemakers, activists, and innovators working on democratic renewal.

Fellowships include flexible funding for the participants' initiatives, in-person summits, capacity building, and connections to a Europe-wide and global network.

Who can apply

People working in Europe, and/or resident in one of the eligible countries: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and United Kingdom.

Eligibility

Changemakers of all ages who represent ideas, innovations, movements, and collectives fitting the theme of the programme "democratic and economic renewal" and who are deeply rooted in the communities they work for. Participants should have a good level of understanding and ability to express themselves in English.
