The Obama Foundation at Columbia University is inviting emerging leaders worldwide to join its immersive programme and deepen their knowledge and skills.

The programme lasts from August 2025 until May 2026 and combines academic coursework, practical workshops, and real-world experiences to equip scholars with the tools to address global challenges.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be emerging leaders in a "breakthrough moment" in their careers
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and community leadership
• Commit to returning to their communities to apply their new skills and knowledge
• Be fluent in English

• Personal video statement
• Short essay responses
• Proof of English proficiency
• Letters of recommendation

Benefits

Selected scholars will receive:

• A full scholarship covering tuition, fees, and living expenses
• A monthly stipend
• Furnished housing in New York City
